Our competition entry to the REME area.

Our competition entry to the REME area in the east of Mönchengladbach, which was used by the British Army as an armored workshop and home to a cellulose factory:
The approximately 15-hectare area characterizes the district of Lürrip, for which there is an urban planning framework. This provides for a variety of living on the REME area. Subordinate areas are available for commercial use.
Our idea was to produce ecological and climate-reduced links for the entire neighborhood in order to reduce the C02 burden.

Due to the purely regenerative energy production and the low energy consumption, a sustainable residential area with an outstanding ecological footprint, which could also be seen as a model for other cities and communities, was created.
