We are converting a former five-storey hospital into a nursing home with approximately 100 single rooms. The building had previously already been used as an old people’s home yet the structure did not meet contemporary standards for the accommodation for elderly people as it incorporated double occupancy rooms and shared bathrooms; it therefore had to be modified.
Our new concept is based on the formation of »housing communities«.

Instead of an anonymous collection of rooms, care groups of approximately 20 residents are established, each forming a discrete residential community. Single rooms with en suite bathrooms are the standard.
The result was a modern home in a colorful concept where even bedridden residents can enjoy the benefits of living together as part of a community.
A »sensory garden« has been newly created and ensures a pleasant and stimulating atmosphere in the open air.
