In the panel discussion of the expert conference of the ‘Resources and Agrobusiness of the Future’ field at the Future Agency of the Rhenish Region, Burkhard Schrammen (Schrammen Architekten BDA), State Secretary Viktor Haase (MUNV), Hans Christian Markert (BLB NRW), and Regina Dechering (Municipality of Inden) discussed the future of our industry and debated innovative approaches to sustainable construction.
For Burkhard Schrammen, resource-efficient and circular building is a key component of sustainable architecture. »In everything, it’s about our attitude!«
Demand influences needs – and vice versa. To enable the transition to more sustainable construction methods, the system must undergo fundamental changes. New priorities must be set, and innovative developments must be supported.
With innovative natural building materials and a greater emphasis on the multiple use of spaces, where different purposes are combined, resources can be conserved and costs reduced. Additionally, the relationship between traffic and usable space should be optimized to create maximum space for primary functions. At the same time, the task remains to reduce the costs and complexity of construction and approval procedures to make sustainable building more accessible.
It was a fantastic opportunity to exchange ideas with other professionals and make valuable connections. Thank you for the inspiring conversations and the valuable exchange!
